The weather has frankly, been amazing this past week, and yesterday was no exception. So combine the gorgeous weather with a live band playing in the sunshine on this particular gorgeous Friday afternoon outside my office, and you can imagine I had to dig deep for the motivation to stay inside and work!
I’m also working some very big hours this weekend, so that left my Friday night to get anything I wanted done around the house out of the way. That meant yard work, packing and labelling a bunch of old things that I recently sold online to ship, and all house chores and actually making sure I have clean clothes to wear for the next week!
Needless to say my pizza tasted pretty delicious when it arrived for dinner…
I hope you’re having an amazing day, and feeling motivated to smash your goals today!
Day 62 started by going in for an extra volunteer shift as they were understaffed for the morning. It’s such a rewarding job, that I don’t mind it losing my Sunday morning for it! And again this day ended uo with more paid work making it quite tight for time, but hey, I’d rather be busy moving forward than twiddling my thumbs!
I hope you’re on track to smash your goals today! (if not, it’s not too late to turn it around!).
I don’t know if it’s the slightly warmer (although crazily inconsistent) weather, or if it’s just the more consistent schedule, but somehow I’ve been finding it much easier to get out of bed before the birds.
I mean, I thought I had a hard time adjusting to 4am starts… but the 3am weekday starts followed by losing another hour due to daylight savings, took considerably longer to adjust to. I realise most of this battle was probably mental, but nevertheless I knew it was worth it and perservered.
As for the rest of the day yesterday, it was a very busy one, working at both jobs, and then home to collapse into bed. Bliss.
I hope you’re smashing your goals today!
As you can see by the title, I accidentally skipped a day’s blog (not very consistent!). I had a draft ready to go, and was going to quickly finish and publish in the half hour between my day job and night job but in all honesty, I sat down when I got there and got completely distracted, and had forgotten all about it by the time I got home… which is something else I need to work on… checking off my to-do list before I go to bed to make sure I haven’t missed anything, before it’s a new day and a new list!
This week I received some news about changes coming up to one of my jobs that added a little extra anxiety. However,I also know change is the only thing that is constant, and regardless of what happens, I will figure it out. New problems are new opportunities right?!
I hope you’ve been smashing your goals!
